Greene Eagle Winery

This is our biggest event of the year! Come and see the Headless Horseman Ride Again!! We encourage everyone to dress in period costumes if you wish!!!
 

*****There are two performances in 2023. September 30 and October 7. Please plan to arrive at the winery by 6pm each day to ensure you see all of the performances and the Headless Horseman ride. Due to weather conditions on that day, the times are approximate because the performances must be concluded before dark.
 

Greene Eagle Winery turns into Eagle Hollow as we host the reenactment of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
​The performance includes Sleepy Hollow townspeople Katrina, Brohm Bones, and of course the famous horse ride between Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman!

The Schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane and his students will be performing the schoolhouse scene again this year.

The three witches will perform a scene from William Shakespeare's play Macbeth.
 

The Eagle Hollow Haunted Hayride has been changed, added to, and ready to give you a fun, chilling experience! (There is an additional small fee for the hayride of $2 per person or $5 for all day ride per person)
 

PONY RIDES! Pony rides will be available both days for a small fee.
 

Our Shop in the Hollow returns this year starting at 3pm. We have 20 fantastic vendors with everything from handmade jewelry, honey & honey products, clothing, fall crafts, baked goods and pumpkin rolls and much more. (See Shop In The Hollow event for more details)

 

**OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
​​* Entrance Fee has been changed to $5 per person. 7 and under are free.
(we will hand out wrist bands to those who plan on leaving and coming back the same day to the event. Ask when you pay your entrance fee.)

​*A portion of each vehicle entrance fee will be donated to Scope Senior Services who will also be selling 50/50 raffle tickets with the proceeds benefiting Scope Senior Services Group.

​*We will have parkers directing you where to park in the field on the right hand side of the driveway. Parking in the winery parking lot will be reserved for those with disabilities or walking issues.

​*Food Trucks will be on site & the winery will offer a special limited food menu. Enjoy delicious tastings from LaRiccia's, Ocean Breeze Concessions and The Little Red Food Truck.

*NO coolers or other beverages & food permitted on premises.

​*Plastic Cups will be used for wine and beer. If you prefer a glass-glass, please bring it with you, or you can purchase a Sleepy Hollow Logo Glass or Greene Eagle Winery Logo glass inside the winery.
(We use plastic cups for our Large events for the safety of our patrons)

​*There will be NO wine or beer samples/tastings on Sleepy Hollow Days.
These changes are designed to give you a more enjoyable experience by reducing lines and wait times.
There will be an OUTDOOR "Canteen" set up to purchase your beverages in front of the winery by the gardens, also wine will be for sale in the Stone House.

*NO RESERVATIONS ACCEPTED ON SLEEPY HOLLOW DAYS

5:00-6:00- SOLO Sixstring performs

*6:45ish-Dusk- The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Adult Costume Contest - Winners receive a gift basket!
Music resumes after reenactment of Sleepy Hollow (Solo Sixstring)

SATURDAY 10/7/23
3:00-7:30- Shop in the Hollow (some vendors may stay later)
4:00-Trebuchet Firing, Hayrides Begin
5:00-6:00- Eric Andrews performs
**6:30ish- Vignette, The Three Witches
**6:45ish- The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
(It all depends on the horses, actors, and weather. We put a range on there so people know to arrive there before 6pm. The performance last about 15-20 minutes.
