It is fall time and that means a visit from the Headless Horseman!

Greene Eagle Winery turns into Eagle Hollow this time of the year as we host the re-enactment of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The performance includes Sleepy Hollow Townspeople from TNT, Katrina, Brohm Bones, and of course the famous horse ride between Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman! The schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane and his students will be performing an additional schoolhouse scene this year. Also new this year is a haunted hayride included in the admission fee. All riders must wear a face mask. The Three Witches will perform a scene from William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. This event will run Saturday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 10th . Wear your Halloween costume and join in the festivities. There will be an entrance fee of $12 per vehicle to help offset costs as this event continues to grow. A portion of each vehicles entrance fee will be donated to Scope Senior Services who also will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets with the proceeds benefiting the Scope Senior Services group.

On October 10, joining us will be the Ram Rod Busters and the Fort McIntosh Garrison complete with cannon for historical lessons and demonstrations.

Vestal Concessions, Melt Down Food Truck and the Little Red Food Truck will have additional food items available for purchase in addition to a special winery food menu. Musical entertainment will begin each night at 5:15. The reenactment will begin just before dark (about 6:30pm). Please bring chairs or blankets for additional seating. No coolers or other beverages or food permitted.  Look for the parking signs and please plan on parking in the field on the right-hand side of the driveway.

Plastic cups will be used for wine and beer...if you want a glass, glass, please bring it in.

Please wear a face mask inside the winery when not seated and remember to social distance both inside and outside.

If rain is in the forecast the event will be cancelled. Watch our Facebook page and our website, GreeneEagle.com for updates. If it rains during the event, please go to your vehicle. The winery will be locked in order to maintain safe distancing for all patrons.

Take a lot of pictures and share them to our Facebook page for all to enjoy.

The winery will have a special menu for Sleepy Hollow which will allow us to reduce wait time:
Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Chips
Chicken Salad Croissant with Chips
Loaded Mac & Cheese
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Artichoke Dip
Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza Only
Small Cheese Plates

We apologize for any inconvenience but there will be no substitutions for Sleepy Hollow. There will also be no wine or beer tastings. These changes are designed to give you a more enjoyable experience by reducing lines and wait times. There will be an outside "canteen" to get your beverage out front of the winery by the gardens.
